De-identified, searchable knowledge base of your firm's work product. Load your back catalog on install.
Frontier AI for research, drafting, contract analysis โ via the native desktop app.
Every masked session is a documented reasonable-efforts record.
Teammates on the same matter share the same project โ no per-seat re-processing.
API keys encrypted in the OS keychain. Originals never leave your machine.
Less than one billable hour per week.
At $2,988 per year, a SafeIdea seat costs less than one billable hour a week for most practitioners โ and a fraction of a paralegal salary.
The pricing conversation isn't about the cost of a filter. It's about the cost of compliance infrastructure. After Heppner and Wang, every attorney using AI for client work has the same exposure. SafeIdea is the architectural layer that makes that use defensible.
Questions
Are token charges capped?
Cloud AI token usage is billed through based on actual consumption. We do not mark up tokens. Most attorneys spend well under $50/month; heavy drafting workloads can run higher. Firms can set per-seat monthly caps.
Can my firm buy a block of seats?
Yes. Contact us for firm-wide deployments and volume arrangements above 15 seats.
What happens to the Index if we leave?
Your originals never left your machine, so you keep every document you started with. The Index โ the de-identified, searchable layer that SafeIdea built around your work โ lives inside SafeIdea's masking pipeline. Leaving SafeIdea means rebuilding that layer elsewhere.
We already use Harvey / CoCounsel / Lexis+ AI. Why SafeIdea too?
Those platforms are excellent legal AI tools. They are not compliance infrastructure โ their protection is contractual (SOC 2, zero-retention clauses), not architectural. After Heppner, the question is whether your data exists on a vendor's servers at all. SafeIdea is the local masking layer that sits in front of your existing AI stack so nothing identifiable ever reaches the cloud.
